The 2024 MLS season is over. While we wait for a new campaign to launch, it’s time to take a look at the biggest stars from the previous ones.

Who did you have on your fantasy football team most often? And who deserves to be there in 2025?

Today I’m looking at the statistics of MLS fantasy football players. Based on FootballCoin points, here are the best for the 2025 season.

Brad Stuver (Austin FC) – 643 points in FootballCoin

Riqui Puig (LA Galaxy) – 643 points

Riqui Puig was once a prodigy who played in La Liga. It’s nice to see him fulfilling at least some of his wonderful potential. Puig was a true leader for LA Galaxy and a midfield maestro. No other player made more progressive passes and passes into the final third. Puig was one of the best MLS fantasy football players for the 2024 season.

Evander – (Portland Timbers) – 645 points

Numerous teams have fought to sign Evander in the past, not least from Europe’s top leagues. The Brazilian is now the most important player for the Portland Timbers. With the best xAG/90 minutes in MLS, Evander is a player who can provide his teammates with great scoring opportunities.

John McCarthy (LA Galaxy) – 663 points

Santiago Rodriguez (New York City FC) – 668 points

Kristijan Kahlina (Charlotte FC) – 682 points

I wrote a lot about Croatian Kristijan Kahlina last season. If you look at the stats, the Charlotte FC goalkeeper was actually the best goalkeeper in the MLS. The goalkeeper had the most goals conceded in the league with 12. And I think that despite the distance, the Croatian national team should think about a call-up for the future.

Luciano Acosta (FC Cincinnati) – 689 points

Mateusz Bogusz (Los Angeles FC) – 689 points

Mateusz Bogusz shined on a star-studded Los Angeles FC team that dominated the regular season. The 22-year-old Polish player was wonderfully consistent. Bogusz played 32 games over the course of the season, scoring 15 goals and 6 assists. If he sticks around next season, he will be one of the Los Angeles team’s most important players in 2025.

Gabriel Pec (LA Galaxy) – 747 points

Garbirle Pec has brought more than a little of the South American flair that MLS fans love to witness. The former Vasco da Gama player is not only quick and skilful. But Pec has proven he can lead the LA Galaxy attack through a campaign. Pec scored 19 goals and provided 15 assists throughout the season, making him one of the best MLS fantasy soccer players this year.

Denis Bouanga (Los Angeles FC) – 767 points in FootballCoin

Denis Bouanga, the talented striker from Gabon, has finally found a home for himself in Los Angeles. This season he scored a whopping 21 goals and 9 assists. This means that at this point he scored 41 goals in just 70 games for the club. Bouanga is the best MLS fantasy football player and someone you absolutely must have on your team for the 2025 season.
